Young people are suffering a crisis of meaning and purpose within a culture that gives them a steady drumbeat of blame and hopelessness. Depression, anxiety, Fentanyl, and self-harm are all at epidemic proportions and in younger and younger populations. What would we give to communicate the life-saving truth of God’s grace to them right now?

Project Grace exists to do just that through Christ-centered artistic, community, and social media projects first envisioned by Broadway playwright/composer Christopher G. Smith, creator of the world’s first (and so far, only) true story of personal salvation ever to appear on the Broadway stage.

We believe that we are on the cusp of a spiritual revival and we need financial partners like you to impact the youth culture for Christ. Thank you for your interest, please let us know how we can serve your school, church, or community.

Our Founder

Christopher G. Smith

Christopher G. Smith, Broadway composer and playwright of Amazing Grace, inspires and challenges audiences of all ages to break the confines of their ordinary lives and discover purpose and gifts they never knew they had. Christopher (a former police officer and youth director) was inspired to become the first writer/creator ever to tell a true story of faith and redemption on the Broadway stage.

He began with no training, no professional experience, no funding, and no connections in the entertainment industry. Christopher conceived the concept, and wrote the music, lyrics, and libretto of this epic musical saga about the life of slave-trader-turned-abolitionist, John Newton, the writer of the world’s most loved song, Amazing Grace. The show had one hundred and fourteen performances on Broadway in 2015 before touring the nation in 2016-2017.

Christopher's personal journey has been featured on: ABC Evening News, NBC News, Trinity Broadcasting, NPR Radio, and was featured in stories in the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Guideposts, and Billboard Magazine, among others.
